The first KRETHO Community Hackathon

Hannover, here we come!🙌

We proudly present you: The first KRETHO Community Hackathon

So guys, hold on! On November 6th and 7th you can be creative for two days, collect ideas, build mock-ups, test them and finish off with a final prototype: The Hafven in Hannover is organizing a hackathon that explores new creative approaches to sustainable and innovative furniture for agile working and living.💡

Yes; you heard it right! Together with other participants from various fields, the Hackathon gives you the opportunity to develop and prototype product ideas in 48 hours: Flexible seating, room layouts, storage or IoT solutions - everything is possible! Choose from various topics you want to work on.

The goal is to develop new and maybe even unconventional ideas together in the community. The best solution will be awarded at the end of the Hackathon: The participants of the winning team will each receive an iPad!😍

During the 2-day work sessions you will receive helpful input from experts: Pedro Penida from the Makerspace TMDC (Barcelona, Spain) will support all teams in hardware prototyping and gives exciting insights into his work. In addition, Jens Thiemann, Managing Director of VRTX Labs will give a presentation on "Furniture in AR and the trend of digital individualization".

The Hackathon will offer the best conditions for turning unique ideas into reality - ideas that would otherwise probably have remained hidden or that no one has dared to approach until now:

„"We are really excited to see what the community's requirements are for furniture that we will use in tomorrow's world and what solutions will emerge from this. It is important to us that we give every idea a chance, no matter how crazy, we want to think together with different people and find new approaches and ways of creating furniture and products," says Hendrik Kreft, brand developer at KRETHO.

Do you want to be part of it?

Anyone who sees himself as a designer, craftsman or engineer can participate, contribute ideas and put them into practice. Important, you'll need a laptop or tablet because digital tools will be used.👩🏼💻👨🏽💻

Since the number of participants is limited to 30 people, you have to apply.
